Catalonia/Catalunya is one of spain’s autonomous regions with four provinces Barcelona, Girona,   Tarragona and Lleida. I’m obsessed with Barcelona (Visca Barca!!) but it’s turned into a love for everything Catalan. I was so happy when I came across these beautiful pictures on French By Design of a summer house in Catalonia and I was further inspired to make this outfit. TAKE ME TO CATALONIA!!!!

Ojos Asi: Eyes like Penelope

Penelope is one of the goddesses here at Tribes & Things (i.e. women I ADORE). Those eyes…..She definitely makes me feel proud to be a brown eyed beauty. I love that her eyes are almost always accentuated in her makeup and it’s so simple and easy to do. Penelope uses black eyeliner but my eyes are a darker brown so I prefer using brown ( this is just a personal preference).

Ojos Asi: Eyes like Penelope
1. put a wash of color over the eyelid (the lighter shade in the duo)
2. line the eyes (top and bottom) with brown eyeliner
(waterproof or not is up to you)
3. smudge eyeliner with smudger brush to create a shadowy line
instead of a harsh solid one.
4. with a clean eyeliner brush retrace eyeliner using a brown
eyeshadow (darker color in the duo)
5. apply your favorite mascara

Of course to achieve this look you don’t need the exact products listed

 here. You can use any thin brush for eyeliner ( I use a nail art brush),

any  brown eyeliner and any brown eyeshadow. What has made the

difference for me whether I’ve used high end products or drugstore

products is using a smudger brush (or q-tip) and

using your eyeshadow to set the cream eyeliner.
