There really aren’t any words adequate enough to sum up my trip but this quote comes close enough.

I met another side of myself on this trip but I was too afraid to get to know her. Now all I want is to see her again.

I have to see her again.

Travel Bits Summer 2014

We’re 9 days away kids! 9!! I’m a pack light kind of girl (or at least I’ve convinced myself that I’m going to be) so these are a few bits that I think are necessary (apart from the obvious toiletries, adapters, money, docs, etc) for travel.

Denim Shirt That all purpose clothing item that can be a shirt, jacket, dress voila! three outfit choices in one.

Superga canvas shoes Comfy shoes! For the love of your beautiful feet wear comfy shoes that you can dress up or down as need be. PROTIP: These particular shoes need to be broken in or at least that was the case for my delicate feet (I also insisted on not wearing socks but you can read about that bout of folly here)

Ipad case It’s cute and on sale and you do need to protect your tablet cuz I know you’re not thinking of taking that heavy bulky laptop.

Embossed Leather Journal I believe in keeping a journal, it clears the fog in my brain and writing cleanses.

Yoga Journal Magazine Something to read! I have a whole post of my fave magazines here. PROTIP: Using an app like ZINIO means you can take all the glossies you want without the extra bulk.

Harmony 2″ Camera Strap This beautiful strap makes my camera feel more personalized and more…mine and not just one of the other hunks of metal being dragged about by hordes of tourist (I have a hipster tendencies).

Bucket Bag A good sturdy bag to hold it all! I’m taking hand luggage only so I will be stuffing this beauty with whatever won’t fit in my carry on.
